ABOUT ME

I am pleased to have you visiting my site. It is my hope that you will browse through the galleries and enjoy all the types of cakes that I have had the pleasure of decorating for my customers. I began my love of cake decorating when I was a little girl I used to make wedding cakes out of snow, so all my life I have had a real passion for it.

When my oldest child who is nine turned one I made her a birthday cake and the poor little thing was barely held together with the frosting. I began then to pray and ask God to give me the wisdom to understand what I read in the Wilton Books. The cake classes were always on Wednesday night and I cooked for our church on Wednesday. Well, by her 2nd birthday she had a decorated cake and I've been doing it ever since.

In 1998 we moved back to Oklahoma and I started looking for someone to teach me how to make Gumpaste flowers. I met Kerry Vincent and she encouraged me to enter the Oklahoma Sugar Art Show. I entered a Barbie Doll cake in the Advanced Adult Division and I placed 3rd. I now compete at the Professional level. I am a member of I.C.E.S. and have had the opportunity to meet other cake decorators and take a few classes on gumpaste. I love what I do. I live in a commercially zoned home and turned a room into a separate kitchen for city and health inspections.

I have the best of both worlds. I do what I love - Baking and still be home with my children.
